Octane Test Engine-RON ASTM D2699 Octane Rating Operation

Octane test engine SINPAR FTC-M runs octane rating at the standard operating conditions, performing to ASTM D2699 RON test procedures. The sample fuel knock intensity is compared to that of one or two PRF blends. The octane number of the PRF blend that matches the knock intensity of the sample fuel establishes the Research Octane Number.
